Look up a support to see which part of an NDIS plan it usually comes from — or pick a budget and see what it is generally used for.
This tool cannot see your plan. It does not know your disability, your goals, your funding or what the NDIS has approved for you. It cannot tell you what your plan pays for.
Everything here is general information about how NDIS budgets usually work. A support only comes out of your plan if it is related to your disability, the NDIS has decided it is reasonable and necessary, and the funding is actually in your plan.
For a breakdown of your own plan, ask your NDIA planner, Local Area Coordinator (LAC), support coordinator or recovery coach.
Use the words you would actually say. Short words work best — try “carer”, “mow”, “OT”, “shower”, “job”, “bus”.
The rule people most often get wrong: Capacity Building funding is not flexible between its categories. Money sitting in Improved Daily Living cannot be moved across to Support Coordination, or to Finding and Keeping a Job. Each category can only be used for its own purpose.
If you are not sure whether something counts, ask before you spend. Using funding for the wrong thing can mean you have to pay it back.
